Share-broker arrested for demanding ransom
Indore, Feb 10 (PTI) A share broker was today arrestedon the charge of threatening two persons and demanding ransomof Rs 7 lakh, police said.
Accused Sujeet Kumar Pradhan allegedly wrote lettersto Transport Corporation of India (TCI) Area Manager PremKumar Shah and industrialist Paramjeet Singh Mundara,demanding money and threatening to kill them and their familymembers otherwise, said Additional Superintendent of Police(Crime) Maheshchandra Jain.
A week ago, Pradhan wrote these letters, demanding Rs2 lakh from Shah and Rs 5 lakh from Paramjeet, the ASP said.
Pradhan is former employee of TCI, Jain said addingthat he told the police that he thought of writing the letterafter sustaining heavy losses in share trading.
