Pak PM appreciates progress in Secretaries'' talks in Thimphu
Islamabad, Feb 10 (PTI) Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilanitoday appreciated the progress made by Pakistan and Indiaduring talks between their Foreign Secretaries on the marginsof a SAARC meet in Thimphu.
Gilani expressed the appreciation after he was presenteda report by Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir regarding histalks with his Indian counterpart Nirupama Rao at theBhutanese capital.
The talks between the Foreign Secretaries were "acontinuation of his meeting with the Indian Prime Minister(Manmohan Singh) at Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt" in 2009, Gilanisaid.
He said the Foreign Secretary-level talks were fully inconformity with the spirit of his parleys held with Singh.
Gilani also expressed his best wishes for Singh.
The Foreign Secretaries held talks on the sidelines ofthe SAARC meet last week to find ways to take forward thepeace process between the two countries, which has beenstalled since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
