One security man killed, three including a civilian, injured
Imphal, Feb 10 (PTI) A Manipur Rifles (MR) personnel waskilled and three others - two Manipur Riflesmen and acivilian - were injured when militants attacked them atShingjamei area in Imphal west district in Manipur today,official sources said.
Sources said the security personnel were attached assecurity guards of an executive engineer identified as Ch.
Ranbir Singh of Irrigation and Flood Control Department of thestate government.
They said the militants hurled a powerful grenade at thesecurity guards who came out from the house of the official ataround 3 p.m. killing one of them identified as Mobi Singh andinjuring two others and a civilian.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital while the bodyhas been sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Science andHospital here for post mortem, sources said.
Sources said monetary demand from the official could beone of the reaons but further details were still awaited. PTITP CR
