Aarushi case: CBI names 4 new witnesses
Testimonials shown in the court on Thursday, Feb 10 cast a cloud of suspicion over the Talwar couple. The four new CBI's witnesses were- painter Shohrat, Dr Rohit Kochchar, Dr Rajiv Varshney and Sanjay Chouhan.
According to the CBI report, Shohrat has submitted that Rajesh had asked him to paint a wooden partition separating his room with that of his daughter just three days after the Aarushi-Hemraj murder.
The painter has revealed before the CBI that a year ago, he had polished the same portion and was paid Rs 25,000.
CBI special judge Preeti Singh mentioned in her order that it was an attempt of the destruction of evidences by Talwar.
The other three CBI's witnesses statement also raised the speculation on the Talwar couple. After taking note of the CBI"s closure report, the court had ordered the investigating agency to book Aarushi's parent in the double murder case.
The doctor couple would be heard under multiple Sections of the Indian Penal Code- 302 (murder), 120(B) (criminal conspiracy), 201 (destruction of evidence) and 34 (criminal act done by several persons in furtherance of common intention of all).
