Two arrested with Rs 20,000 fake currency
Banaskantha, Feb 8 (PTI) Two persons have beenarrested and fake Indian currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500denomination -- worth over Rs 20,000 in total -- were seized,police said here today.
"We have arrested Abdul Jabbar Salat of Palanpur andJorabhai Karnabhai Rabari of Deesa Taluka in the district,with fake notes worth Rs 20,000," officials said.
The two were arrested from near Aroma circle onDeesa-Palanpur highway.
According to police, the duo was working for oneChella Ranchhod Patel, a resident of Bhacharva village in thedistrict, who is absconding.
