Temple seeks ISO 9001:2008 certification

Madurai, Feb 9 (PTI): The Meenakshi Sundareswarar templehere has sought ISO 9001:2008 certification for the entiretemple complex, according to Hindu Religious and Charitableendowment board officials.

They said the temple had a five point quality policy and hadalso undertaken a drive to ensure the quality managementsystem is in compliance with the certification norms.

The audit would be conducted on February 23. A speical fivemember team had been formed to monitor all outsourced work ofthe temple such as the environment at the kitchen and tank,they said, adding that cleaning would be undertaken on aregular basis.
