Islamabad, Feb 9: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani accepted the resignation of federal cabinet ministers on Wednesday, Feb 9. After accepting the resignation Gilani lauded the services of the federal ministers and said, “government was moving towards the implementation of the 18th amendment."

Gilani addressing the last cabinet meeting on Wednesday he said a new cabinet will be formed in next 24 hours.

Last week, the top decision-making body of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) determined to dissolve the cabinet. Pakistani opposition parties including former Premier Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) have been demanding formation of a smaller cabinet especially in view of the serious financial hard-ship faced by Pakistan.
