Kanpur Divisional Commissioner transferred over laxity

Lucknow, Feb 9 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh government hastransferred the Commissioner of Kanpur division for hisalleged slack supervision and laxity in work.

Senior IAS officer and Divisional Commissioner KanpurAmit Kumar Ghosh has been transferred and put on waiting listby the state government, an official spokesman said.

During a surprise inspection of Kanpur districtyesterday, Mayawati had ordered immediate transfer of theDivisional Commissioner for his slack supervision and laxityin works.

The government has also transferred Superintendent ofPolice of Bahraich district Sanjay Kakkar to RTC Chuhar.

Mayawati during her visit to Bahraich had expressedher dissatisfaction over law and order situation in thedistrict.
