Fire in Nagaland CM''s official residence
Kohima, Feb 8 (PTI) A fire broke out in the officialresidence of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at the highsecurity Ministers Hill area of the town this evening but noone was hurt.
Nine fire engines were pressed into service andfiremen, prevented the blaze from spreading to the officeportion of the building, fire brigade sources said.
There was no report of any injury.
Though the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,eyewitnesses said the fire broke out in the kitchen of theresidence portion of the single-storied Assam type bungalowand spread from there.
The blaze could be seen from a distance as the chiefminister''s residence is located at a higher altitude.
Police cordoned off the area, where the bungalows ofother ministers and secretaries are also situated.
