Absconding murder convict arrested

Lucknow, Feb 8 (PTI) A murder convict, who absconded frompolice custody after shooting a personnel last year, wasarrested today by a special operation group in Sant KabeerNagar area along with his five aides.

Ranvijay Yadav, who was carrying a cash reward of Rs50,000 on his head, was arrested with Ashutosh and Rana Singh,Special DGP Brij Lal told reporters here.

Ashutosh and Rana were also carrying a bounty of Rs15,000 each, he said.

The trio had abducted and killed a brick kiln owner, Lalsaid, adding that acting on their information three morepersons -- Rajan Yadav, Shlok Kannaujiya and Kanti Kumar --who were also involved in the crime, were arrested.
