Two thieves beaten to death by villagers in Gujarat
Vadodara, Feb 7 (PTI) Two suspected thieves were todaybeaten to death by locals of a village following their attemptto commit a theft there, police said.
"The incident took place in Raysinghpura village. Thedeceased were identified only as Bhagirath and Haresh whilethe former hailed from neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, Haresh wasa resident of Aamchhota village in Vadodara district,"Superintendent of Police G Gambhir said.
A group of villagers tied them with a tree and startedbeating them. One of them died on the spot while anothersuccumbed to injuries in a hospital in Kawant, Gambhir said,adding a case of murder has been registered.
