Two arrested for killing 23-year-old man in Narela

New Delhi, Feb 7 (PTI) Two youths have been arrestedfor allegedly murdering a 23-year-old man while he wasshopping with his wife two months ago, police said today.

Naveen (24) and Ajender (22) were apprehended recentlyfrom Outer Delhi for allegedly killing Sushil on December 28last year in front of his wife inside a shop in Narela.

It was the statement of Sushil''s wife Preeti whichnailed the two youths.

"She identified the youths as she they were known tothe couple. She said that in 2009, her husband had beatenNaveen and since then Naveen had grudge against him," ChhayaSharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), said.

The couple were on friendly terms with Naveen whowould visit them. "One day Sushil and his wife were goingsomewhere when Naveen passed some comments. Sushil did notlike it. Differences cropped up among them and later thematter was resolved after the intervention of relatives andlocals.

"But in January, 2009, Sushil along with his friendAshwani had beaten Naveen who suffered multiple fractures onhands and legs. Naveen was bed ridden for almost an year,"Sharma said.
