Sound of explosion heard near Nitish''s house

Patna, Feb 7 (PTI) The state police today went into atizzy after an explosion-like sound was heard near ChiefMinister Nitish Kumar''s residence here.

As Kumar was engaged in meeting people for resolution oftheir grievances at his favourite Janata Darbar programme, asound of explosion was heard near his residence.

Senior District officials, including City SP Manu Maharajrushed to the CM''s house and the entire area was searched.

When contacted, Maharaj said though further investigationwas on, prima facie it seems that the sound was caused becauseof a cracker-burst.
