Shandilya sent to police custody for two days

Indore, Feb 8 (PTI) An accused in robbery cases AnandShandilya alias Rajesh Pilot was today sent to local policecustody for two days by the judicial magistrate, police said.

Shandilya, who had been arrested last year by the UttarPradesh STF for the bomb attack on UP Minister Nandgopal GuptaNandi, was brought from Naini Jail in Allahabad on aproduction warrant by Madhya Pradesh police, Indore AdditionalSuperintendent of Police Manoj Singh said.

He said that Sandilya was produced before the court ofAdditional Chief Judicial Magistrate Geeta Solanki from wherehe was sent to police custody till February 10.

Singh said that Sandilya was an accused in two dacoities,one at a bank and another one at a petrol station in 2004.

We are hopeful of busting some other cases too aftergrilling him, the ASP said.
