Rs 1 lakh as ex-gratia by JK govt to kin of rock slide victims
Srinagar, Feb 8 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir government hassanctioned Rs one lakh as ex-gratia for each of the next ofthe kin of five persons killed in a rock sliding incident inKargil district on Sunday.
Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla has sanctioned theex-gratia of Rs one lakh from the Natural Calamity Relief Fund(NCRF) in favour of the next of kin of each person, who diedin the rock slide at Garkhone village in Batalik sector ofKargil.
Five persons, including three children, were killed inthe rock slide triggered by heavy snowfall in Batalik Sectoron Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil will hand over the chequesto the next of kin today, an official spokesman said.
