Militants explode grenade

Imphal, Feb 7 (PTI) Unidentified militants exploded apowerful grenade at the house of a Manipur government officialbut no casualty was reported, official sources said today.

Sources said the militants lobbed the grenade at theprivate house of Panchayat secretary K Arun of Ruraldevelopment and Panchayati Raj department at Karam area inBishenpur district late last night.

Arun and family members were present at the time ofincident but no one was injured except some damages atouthouse, sources said.

No one has claimed responsibility. Sources said monetarydemand from the official could be the reason.
