JVM-Cong trying to confuse people: BJP

Kharswan (Jharkhand), Feb 7 (PTI) Congress andJharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi-led Jharkhand VikasMorcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) were trying to confuse people todestabilize Jharkhand politically, BJP state presidentDineshanand Goswami said here today.

The JVM and Congress had the opportunity to formgovernment last year after the Sibu Soren-headed coalitionministry was reduced to minority following withdrawal ofsupport by BJP, but they did not come forward, Goswami said.

Now when the present government under Munda wascarrying out developmental work, the JVM-Congress ganged upagain to destabilize the Munda government, he said.

Congress and JVM had contested the last assemblyelection in alliance but separated following differences.

He was campaigning in support of the ruling NDAcandidate and Chief Minister Arjun Munda for the assemblyby-poll in Kharswan on February 10.

Describing Munda as a ''symbol of development'' in thestate, Goswami said the present coalition government wascommitted to provide a development-oriented governance andeffectively initiated steps in this regard.

He also lambasting the Centre for overlooking theinterest of Jharkhand.
