Four arrested for alleged abduction of a woman

Coimbatore, Feb 7 (PTI) Four persons were arrested today oncharges abducting a 22-year-old woman in Negum in the rurallimits, police said.

Based on a complaint by the woman, working in a privatefirm here one Nataraj, a petrol bunk employee and three of hisfriends were arrested.

Sh alleged that the four took her in a van from Negum toOddanchattiram in Dindigul district, while she was going on atwo-wheeler with her father on Saturday, police said.

As Nataraj was related to them, her father did notsuspect any foul play. The woman, however was left alone inOddanchathiram. She returned to the city and preferred acomplaint of abduction, based on the which the four werearrested, police said.

The woman had refused Nataraj''s marriage proposalsearlier, they said.
