Debt-ridden farmer commits suicide in MP village

Dewas (MP), Feb 7 (PTI) A debt-ridden farmer committedsuicide at village Kajlivan under Hatpipaliya police stationarea near here.

Man Singh (55) had gone to his field last night butdid not return home, his family members said adding that theystarted looking out for him this morning.

Singh was found hanging to a tree close to his field,they said adding that he had taken a loan from a money lenderand was concerned as to how to arrange for the repayment.

Singh, having five children, was upset for some timeafter his crop spread over one acre area got ruined due tofrost and cold wave condition last month, the family memberssaid.
