Couple found dead in hotel

Rohtak (Haryana), Feb 8 (PTI) A couple was today founddead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room nearShantmai Chowk here, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Sampa andNarender of Bhiwani district.

The couple hired a room in the hotel last night sayingthat they were to go to PGIMS hospital in the morning to getmedical treatment.

"A suicide note has been recovered from the spotwherein both of them have not held anyone responsible behindthis extreme step. The couple ended their lives by consumingsome poisonous substances," Rohtak DSP Jaiveer Rathi said.

The incident came to the notice when hotel employeesheard some sound from a room located on the first floor of thehotel.

They immediately rushed to the room and found Sampaand Narender dead lying on the floor after opening the door,the officer said.

Police have sent the bodies to PGIMS for postmortem.

A case of suicide has been registered in this regardand the kin of the deceased have been informed about theincident, the DSP said.
