Blind girl goes missing, accuses principal for beating her
Dehradun, Feb 8 (PTI) A blind girl disappeared fromthe National Institute of Visually Handicapped here, after shewas allegedly beaten up by the principal of the institution,police said.
The girl, identified as Kiran, left behind a note inher room in which she alleged that she was beaten up and askedto stand in the heat for two hours by the principal,Kamalbir Singh, who had accused her in a theft case on Sunday,they said.
A report in this case was filed by her brother Sanjay,who also alleged that the principal used to beat her up fortrivial reasons regularly, police said.
Singh was not available for comment.
Students of the institute today staged a protestagainst the incident.
