BJP sticks to JPC demand on 2G scam: Pradhan
Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Feb 7 (PTI) Sticking to itsdemand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to probe the2G spectrum scam, BJP today said arrest of former UnionTelecom Minister A Raja was not enough as the party wanted hisGodfathers to be exposed.
National General Secretary of BJP, Dharmendra Pradhan,ex-MP, said the action initiated against Raja was too littleand too late but BJP wanted the government to initiateconcrete action to unearth Raja�s Godfathers involved in thescam.
"Why Congress is so fearful about JPC?" he said.
Pradhan, who was in Steel City here after hecampaigned for Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda yesterdayfor Kharswan assembly by-poll staled for February 10, claimedthat the opposition rallied around BJP, which has effectivelyrake up issues such 2G, CWG scam, price rise, black money inand outside the floor of the house.
Asked whether Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappaissue had any adverse impact on the image of the partyfighting corruption, Pradhan, who is also the in-charge ofparty affairs in Karnataka, said it was not at all an issue inthe state as people were very much aware that the oppositionwere indulged in "misinformation campaign" againstYeddyurappa.
The Karnataka government has already set up aCommission to probe the allegation made by the oppositionparty as well as the denotification of land done by the stategovernments during last 15 years, he said.
