Nokia @ 2011 MWC: What can we expect?
One of the highly rated brand of 2011 MWC is Nokia, the world's largest handset maker. Rumor mills already have started to reveal different hoax about Nokia's upcoming mobiles. One thing we can expect from the global leader, surely it will unveil two or more handsets in 2011 MWC as the company lost its huge share in the handset market.
During the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nokia came without any devices and its rival Motorola grabbed the entire attention of the show with their Atrix 4G smartphone and Xoom Honeycomb tablet. After its weak Q4 results, Nokia CEO hinted of taking some 'revolutionary steps' to retain its popularity.
According to gadget market rumors, Nokia is all set to launch two or more handsets in 2011 MWC. As it's only one week to go for the Mega Event, we can analyse expected specifications and features of different rumored Nokia smartphones.
1. Nokia E6-00
Nokia E6-00 is expected to be an Symbian 3 mobile with an 640 x 480 VGA resolution screen. It will boast a QWERTY keypad, that makes it an business executive phone. According to rumors, this smartphone will have an 8 MP camera with LED Flash and offers WCDMA/HSPA and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0.
2. Nokia N9
The much awaited Nokia N9 may finally launch at 2011 MWC. It will have a 4.2-inch touchscreen with a slide out QWERTY keypad and will run on Intel MeeGo OS. This smartphone offers 1.2 GHz processor and a 12 megapixels camera with LED flash at rear.
3. Nokia X7-00
Another rumored smartphone waiting foe 2011 MWC is Symbian 3 powered Nokia X7-00. Rumors suggest that Nokia X7-00 will have a 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass Technology or ClearBack Technology. This smartphone also boasts 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash at rear. Nokia X7-00 will provide four speakers at the foue corners of the front panel, making it an unique multi-media smartphone that provide maximum entertainment to the users.
4. Nokia-MeeGo smartphone
Many technology blogs reported the possibility of another Nokia-MeeGo smartphone that can push Nokia to compete with Android mobiles and iPhone. This rumored phone will have a 1.6GHz processor and a 480 x 854 resolution display. Some reports added that it also supports NFC chip that helps users to make money transaction using smartphones.
5. Nokia Windows Phone 7 smartphone
As the new CEO Stephen Elop indirectly suggested about the "change or join a competitive ecosystem," some market analysts also expect the announcement of a Nokia smartphone running on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS. The tie-up between Nokia and Microsoft will help both the firms, who are facing great blows from Google Android and Apple iOS.
