WP7 @ India: Dell Venue Pro Vs HTC Mozart - Review

Mumbai, Feb 7: India is considered as one of the largest handset market in the world and is a huge market for most of the giant brands. Once, the Indian mobile market was controlled by the world's largest manufacturer, Nokia. But in recent times, Nokia has lost its huge market share with the advent of other brands and several Indian brands who focused on affordable mobiles with all features.

Now, the most successful trend in India is the sale of high-end smartphones. Most of the smartphones, which are not launched in India yet, are available in grey market. Earlier, major brands like HTC and Dell haven't concentrated India for the sale of their smartphones. But, in recent times, this trend has been changed and giants started to show off their high-end kids in Indian market.

Once, the only smartphone available in India was BlackBerry, but it was described as an Business Exec phone. Many of the top class executives bought BlackBerry mobiles as a status symbol. Hence, BlackBerry models sold like hot-cakes in India. But, the security issues and government mull over BlackBerry made changes in many minds and its sale started to dip.

Apple iPhone also has a high demand among Indians, but its price is an hindrance for wide acceptence. This time, the Taiwan based smartphone maker, HTC came to India with their Windows Phone 7 powered HTC mozart, that made waves in Indian market. Indians came to know about Microsoft Windows Phone OS and its advanced features.
