Russian held for overstaying in Kullu district for 15 years

Shimla, Feb 6 (PTI) A Russian national, allegedly stayingin Manali for over 15 years without any valid documents, visaor passport was today arrested.

Pomerantsev Kirilon was staying with his Italian friendGaleno Orazie, who was arrested by the police in November lastyear for overstaying without a valid visa.

SP (Kullu) Abhishek Dular said Pomerantsev Kiril had fledfrom Malana after the arrest of Orazie.

Kiril had reached Delhi to leave for Russia.

He was, however, sent back to the Foreigners''Registration Office (FRO) for not possessing any validdocuments.

On reaching Kullu, the Russian, instead of approachingFRO, sneaked into Malana village through Chanderkhani forests,Dular said.
