Powerloom unit owner, wife found murdered

Coimbatore,Feb 6 (PTI): A powerloom unit owner and his wifewere murdered and valuables stolen from their residence inSomanur, about 30 kms from here, police said.

The front door was found broken open when his mother-in-lawcame to the house this morning. Hearing the cries of theirseven-month old baby, she rushed in to find the couple lyingin a pool of blood, with their throats slit, police said.

Various items in the almirah were found strewn around. Sheimmediately informed police, who rushed to the house with asniffer dog and fingerprint experts.
