Kalam asks youth to start fighting corruption from home
Panaji, Feb 6 (PTI) Former President A P J Abdul Kalamtoday asked the youths to start fighting corruption from theirhomes.
"If a daughter or son goes and tells father not to becorrupt, then it will certainly bring a change. The youthsshould tell their parents that corruption is bad," Kalam saidin his address at D D Kosambe Memorial Lecture.
"Just imagine a son or daughter walking to their fatherand telling that corruption is our enemy, its bad and heshould not be a corrupt person. That would make a hugedifference," he said.
Speaking about his much talked about vision 2020, Kalamsaid that recessionary trend had halted the Gross domesticproduct (GDP) growth of the country.
"But now the recession is over and GDP growth is good.
If GDP continues to be 10 per cent over the next eight years, then India can emerge as an economically strong nation by2020," he said.
