Centre should bring black money and use for development : BJP
Patna, Feb 6 (PTI) Accusing the UPA government ofbeing indifferent toward bringing back black money stashedabroad, the BJP today urged the Centre to step up efforts sothat the funds could be used for economic development of Biharand North-East region.
The estimated 22.50 lakh crores of black money stashedin foreign bank should be brought back and channelised foreconomic development of Bihar and North-East to take themamong the front line of the developed states in our country,the state unit BJP President C.P. Thakur told reporters here.
However, the Centre appeared to be indifferent inpursuing with the foreign countries to return the ill-gottenwealth, he said.
Thakur said that the BJP, on its part, has beenconsistently putting pressure on the Centre to act tough andfast on checking corruption.
