2 held for involvement in fake job racket

Krishnagar, Feb 6 (PTI) Two persons were arrested inNadia district of West Bengal for alleged involvement in a jobracket for lower level posts in police and various securityforces, police sources said.

On a tip off that some people had been promising jobsin police and BSF, SSB and Army, to the unemployed anddemanding Rs 2.5 lakh from each candidate, the SP formed aspecial team which netted the duo - Pintu Dutta and AlahandMondal - from Chapra area yesterday, the sourcesn said.

The duo were produced in the local court today andremanded to 14 days'' police custody.

Police also recovered large number of originalcertificates and documents of various candidates during theraid.

"The kingpin Pintu would contact the candidatesthrough his agents and had been arrested at Jaipur in Bankuradistrict on September 28, 2006," he said.
