Three convicted for eve teasing

Muzaffarnagar, Feb 6 (PTI) A local court has convictedthree youths and sentenced them to six months imprisonmentfor assaulting girl students in 1993.

The additional chief judicial magistrate P N Pandey hasalso imposed a fine of Rs 5000 each on the accused Bhura,Rakish and Mehboob after holding them guilty under relevantsections of IPC yesterday, the prosecution said.

Some girl students were teased by these youths, who evenbeat up a man, when he tried to prevent them at Purkazi townin the district on December 19, 1993.

The injured victim Bovinder Kumar had lodged an FIRagainst three youths.
