Six policemen injured in encounter with Maoists
Ranchi, Feb 5 (PTI) Six policemen were today injured inan encounter with Maoists at Barangburu forests in Jharkhand''sKhunti district.
The encounter took place during search operations inBarangburu, about 80 km from here, according to DGP controlroom sources here.
Three of the wounded belonged to the Cobra battalionwhile the rest were from district police, the sources saidadding they were rushed to a nearby hospital, whereauthorities said they were out of danger.
The security forces also destroyed a Maiost bunker,the sources added.
The police claimed to have shot at some Maoists as bloodstains were found on their side after they retreated followingthe retaliatory attack.
