PM should resign over price-rise issue, says SAD

Chandigarh, Feb 5 (PTI) Shiromani Akali Dal today demandedthe resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over hisfailure to control the ever rising prices of essentialcommodities.

In a statement issued here, SAD Joint-Secretary N K Sharmasaid that after befooling the masses since the last two years,the PM has accepted the fact that he cannot control ministerswho are conniving with MNCs to artificially raise prices.

The NDA also ran the coalition government for five longyears and prices of all essential commodities remained undercontrol because it kept a strict check on MNCs and hoarders,he said.
