Pak Chief Justice meets CJI
Hyderabad, Feb. 5 (PTI) Visiting Chief Justice ofPakistan Ifthikar Muhammad Chaudhry today met Chief Justice ofIndia S H Kapadia here this evening.
The two Chief Justices are in Hyderabad to attend theCommonwealth Law Conference that will be inaugurated by PrimeMinister Manmohan Singh here tomorrow.
Justice Ifthikar Chaudhry drove to the Lake View GuestHouse from Westin Hotel, where he was staying, to meet hisIndian counterpart. The meeting, lasting 35 minutes, wasdescribed as a courtsey call.
The two were said to have discussed general legal issues.
No other details about the meeting were revealed.
The Pakistani Chief Justice will deliver the keynoteaddress at the inaugural session of the Commonwealth LawConference while the CJI will deliver the thematic address.
