No threat to Congress government in AP, says Azad
Hyderabad, Feb 5 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh governmentwas stable and there was no cause for concern on account ofthe ongoing agitation over Telangana, senior Congress leaderand Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said today.
"The government is stable. The chief minister is doinga good job. The government is doing a good job. There is nocause for concern," he told reporters after inaugurating theZonal Office of the Central Drugs Standard ControlOrganisation (CDSCO) here.
He was responding to a query on the situation in theCongress-ruled state over the ongoing pro-Telangana agitationand the challenge from former MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, whohas the support of over 20 party MLAs.
Several Telangana MPs and MLAs had earlier indicatedtheir readiness to resign for the sake of separate Telanganademand, while Jagan had asserted that he was doing a favour tothe Congress by asking legislators loyal to him not to quittheir posts for now.
