NHRC takes strong note of misuse of its logo by some NGOs
Shimla, Feb 5 (PTI) The National Human Rights Commission(NHRC) has taken a serious note of alleged misuse of its logoby some individuals, NGOs and organisations and has written tothe Himachal Pradesh government in this regard.
In the letter, it said the commission neither has aprovision for registration or affiliation of the individualsor NGOs nor it has authorised anyone to act on its behalf.
It said that in the recent past it had come to notice ofNHRC that several individuals and NGOs were misusing the nameof the commission by illegally using the NHRC logo claimingassociation with it and some of these organisations had evenregistered themselves with similar acronym or logo with anintention to mislead the public.
