Newborn leopard cub reunited with mother
Vadodara, Feb 5 (PTI) A newborn leopard cub wasreunited with its mother in Bodhan village near here in theearly hours of today, a Forest Department official said today.
The ten-day-old cub had strayed into a field two daysago from where it was rescued by the Forest Department.
"We had kept the cub in a farm field last night from.
Her mother arrived there this morning and took it away. Thecub kept on screaming the whole night," said D S Chaudhary,Assistant Conservator of Forest.
Three cubs had strayed into a sugarcane field near thevillage on late Thursday night. Two of them died due to severeburn injuries after labourers, unaware of their presence, setthe field afire, he said.
The third one had received minor injures and aftertreatment if was united with its mother, said Chaudhary. PTICOR
