Minister''s intervention saves tigress in Ranthambore
Jaipur, Feb 5 (PTI) A tigress having infection in anusand maggots was operated on successfully after timely actionof Rajasthan Tourism Minister Bina Kak.
Kak had noticed a swelling on the tigress T-5 inRanthambhore National Park in Sawaimadhopur district duringher recent visit.
She clicked its pictures and showed to the parkauthorities, following which the tigress was operated upon onThursday last, according to an official today.
Deputy Conservator of Forest, Ranthambore National Park,R.P. Gupta, said the tigress has been saved from a majormedical hazard and is now doing well.
He said the staff tracked the tigress regularly but mighthave somehow missed to see the swelling on its body.
