Militants fire on NC activist
Srinagar, Feb 5 (PTI) Militants tonight shot at andinjured an activist of ruling National Conference in Pulwamadistrict of south Kashmir, official sources said.
The ultras shot Farooq Ahmad Shiekh at his native Koilvillage in Pulwama district, 35 kms from here, soon after hecame out of a mosque after offering prayers at around 8pm, thesources said.
Shiekh was hit by a bullet in the shoulder, the sourcessaid adding he was taken to a hospital here.
Doctors attending on the injured National Conferenceactivist said his condition was stable.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for theattack so far.
