Chiranjeevi confirms PRP-Cong unconditional merge

After his much hyped meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Feb 6, Chiranjeevi stated, "we (Congress and PRP) are merging for the upliftment of the people of Andhra Pradesh."
When Chiranjeevi was asked about their new strategy to tackle Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state, PRP chief claimed that the new move is for the state, not to mar any "personality."
Chiranjeevi with Law Minister Veerappa Moily confirmed the progress between Congress and PRP and also claimed that the move will deal with "poverty" in the state and it will help the farmers of Andhra Pradesh.
"For justice we need a bigger platform and so, it is best time to join hands and work together," Chiranjeevi stated.
Following former CM YSR's son Jagan's resignation, Congress had become weak in Andhra Pradesh. So, the new move by the party may give a new direction to Congress in the state.
However, PRP chief Chiranjeevi also informed that he will not join the state Cabinet.
