BJP to organise "massive protest" again Maha govt on March 14

Aurangabad, Feb 6 (PTI) Maharashtra BJP president SudhirMungantiwar today said that the party would organise a"massive rally" protesting against the "corrupt andinefficient" state government at the Mantralaya in Mumbai onMarch 14.

"With slogans like ''Mafiaraj hatao Maharashtra bachao''and ''Mafia ko hatane, BJP maidan mein'', the party wouldcampaign from the tehsil to state level and create awarenessamong the common people regarding the misdeeds of the stategovernment," Mungantiwar said at a press conference after theconclusion of the two-day state BJP meet here.

"Without political patronage, mafia cannot operate in thestate. The ministers in the present government are shieldingthem," he alleged.

Mungantiwar further claimed that despite the Centre''sassurance, farmers in the state had not been provided anyfinancial assistance.

"The state government is trying to suppress the voice ofthe common man. They have changed the definition of thedemocracy. This is the most insensitive government since May1, 1960 (when the state was formed)," he added.

Mungantiwar said over 5,000 rallies would be held acrossthe state before the protest at Mantralaya.
