BEL to open product support centre in Kochi
Bangalore, Feb 5 (PTI) Bangalore-headquartered Navratnadefence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is opening aproduct support centre at the KINFRA Hi-Tech Park atKalamassery in Kochi, Kerala.
Defence Minister A K Antony would inaugurate the centre ata function there on February 8. He had laid the foundationstone for this centre on November 26, 2008.
The centre had been set up to provide waterfront supportfor the Southern Naval Command and to support outsourcing ofNaval System Projects to units of KELTRON.
It is also envisaged to co-ordinate equipment supply andsupport to the Air Defence Ship Project at Cochin ShipyardLimited and to support Sonar Development Projects at theNational Physical
