Tunisia is now stable: Tunisian ambassador
St Petersburg, Feb 5 (Itar-Tass) After the ouster ofthe authoritarian regime of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali thesituation in Tunisia can be described as stable, Tunisia''sambassador to the Russian Federation, Khemaies Jhinaoui, hassaid.
The ambassador said that the recent developments inhis country were a popular revolution initiated by youth,who demanded political, social, and economic changes in theircountry.
The new government of national unity has started itsactivities with the public administration reform, getting ridof the legacy left by the former ruler, who has fled to SaudiArabia after 23 years in office.
With the Foreign Minister Ahmed Ounaies having justpaid a visit to Paris, the ambassador said the currentleadership of Tunisia was taking steps to make a mark on theglobal forum as well. (Itar-Tass)
