Three abductors arrested at Dimapur

Kohima, Feb 05 (PTI) Three persons, including Raj Khanalias Tiakaba alias Thomas who claimed to be a member of NSCN(K), were arrested for alleged involvement in kidnapping oftwo Dimapur-based businessmen, the police said here today.

Khan, a resident of Silchar in Assam was earlierarrested in the town for threatening people for extortion andimpersonating as a public servant.

The two other accused were identified as Sanjeev aliasBabu and Shyam Thapa and they hail from Dimapur, the policesaid.

Two businessmen, residents of DC Court junction inDimapur were abducted from Hong Kong market by the accusedwhen they were repairing mobile phone handsets.

The abductors forced the two victims into an autorickshaw and took them to Khermahal area where they wereassaulted and looted off their cash and mobile phones onFebruary.
