Nursing students boycott classes

Nahan, Feb 4 (PTI) Nearly 150 students of HimalayanNursing Institute at Kala Amb near here today boycottedclasses and came on roads shouting slogans against the collegemanagement.

Students were protesting against recent increase in theannual charges announced by the management.

Holding placards and raising anti-management slogans,students assembled at the main gate of the institute andraised slogans against the principal, who they alleged, hasmisbehaved with some students.

Rakesh Sharma, Registrar of the institute, said that anincrease of Rs 4000 had been made in annual hostel charges andstudents had been convinced that hike was justified.

However, the allegations of misbehaviour by principalwith students would be looked into if any complaint waslodges, he added.
