Maoist nabbed in Palamau

Medininagar (Jharkhand), Feb 4 (PTI) The police todayclaimed that a Maoist suspected to be involved in the blowingup of a school on January 26 was arrested from Chachariavillage in Palamau district.

Getting a tip-off that the Maoist, Ram Bali Mehra, washiding at a place in the village under Bishrampur policestation, a police team yesterday raided the place and arrestedhim, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Girish Pandey, saidhere.

Mehra, the police officer added, had allegedly led aMaoist group that blasted the middle school in the village inthe wee hours of January 26.

A loaded pistol was recovered from him, he said.
