Land acquisition policy evolutionary process: MP
Gurgaon, Feb 4 (PTI) Land acquisition policy was anevolutionary process and it cannot be static, local MP RaoInderjeet Singh today said.
He said that the land fit for cultivation should beused only for cultivation purposes but if required to beacquired in public interest, such provision should be madethat source of income remained for the future generations ofland owners.
The acquisition rates in Gurgaon have been increasedfrom Rs 22 lakh per acre to Rs 72 lakh per acre, he said.
Hailing Haryana for its acquisition policies, Singhsaid about 40 SEZs were approved in Haryana out of which 30were in Gurgaon district alone.
He reiterated his demand to constitute the GurgaonDevelopment Authority for its proper and planned development.
A survey has been ordered for laying railway lines toMewat as Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee had approvedtwo railway lines connecting Mewat in her last railway budget,he said.
