BSY to clear air by revealing his assets

Bangalore, Feb 5: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa drew flak from Opposition and Governor over his land scam allegations. The charges against him raised the heat of the political tension in the state.

Yeddyurappa being neck-deep in charges of corruption has decided to clear air by making his assets public.

Yeddyurappa on Saturday, Feb 5 announced in Belgaum that he has decided to declare his assets, following the instruction of BJP senior leader LK Advani. He was in Belgaum to supervise 3 day World Kannada conference preperation, which starting from Feb 24 and to take part in functionaries meetings.

This comes following JD(S) leader HD Revanna's comment. Revanna on Wednesday, Feb 2 accused Yeddyurappa and his family to have amassed property worth Rs 5,000 crore. Revanna's statement escalated embarrassment for Yeddyurappa.

Yeddyurappa is the fourth most affluent Chief Minister in India according to an online survey by Rediff. Yeddyurappa's assets is estimated to be worth Rs 5.38 crore.
