Audit Officer caught accepting bribe

Hyderabad, Feb 4 (PTI) An Andhra Pradesh Governmentofficer was today trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Abdul Nazeer, Assistant Audit Officer at the Office ofDirector, State Audit (attached to Agriculture MarketCommittee), was caught when he was accepting the bribe from aa complainant, according to an ACB release.

He had demanded the bribe for processing the revisedenhanced family pension arrears (PRC) of the complainant, itsaid.

The tainted amount was recovered from the officer, therelease said, adding the case was under investigation.
