50% reservation for Himachali students in ESI Medical College

Shimla, Feb 4 (PTI) Fifty per cent MBBS seats would bereserved for Himachali students in the ESI Medical Collegecoming up near Mandi, Chief Minister P.K.Dhumal said today.

Dedicating a new school building in Una district, he saidadmission for MBBS courses would commence from next academicsession.

He said budget for education had been increased byseventeen per cent during the current year and Rs. 2567 crorehad been earmarked for education.

The state government was committed to setting up medicaland engineering colleges in every district in a phased mannerto provide best professional education to students at theirdoorsteps.
