Best Buy Valentine's gift: Motorola Xoom, Atrix 4G

New York, Feb 4: At last, the long wait for the legend is going to end. The real Apple iPad Killer, Motorola Xoom tablet powered with Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system will hit the market on Feb 24 through Best Buy.

Technology blog Engadget, citing one of the official Facbook pages of Best Buy, reported that Motorola Xoom will be available on Feb 24 and the 'World's Most Powerful Smartphone' Motorola Atrix 4G will hit on Feb 14, Valentine's Day.

Motorola Xoom will become the first tablet available in the market with Honeycomb OS. Motorola unveiled the Xoom tablet at 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. During the show, this new tablet crowned as the 'Best Gadget'. Similarly, Motorola Atrix smartphone bagged the 'Best Smartphone Award'.

Motorola Xoom has a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It is powered with Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor which can deliver up to 2GHz of power. This iPad Killer offers dual cameras, 2 megapixel camera at front for video calling and an 5 megapixel at rear which supports 720p high-definition video capture.

The launch of Motorola Xoom and Atrix smartphone will make the gdget market more competitive. Currently, tablet market is controlled by Apple iPad with more than 70 percent of te total mrket share. More over, Apple's iPhone still holds the 'trusted smartphone' brand in US. But, the launch of Motorola products will force Apple to launch its much rumored iPad 2 and iPhone 5.
